Embrace Resilience and Transformation: Discover the Sajda Drawing Series

As we step into this season of reflection and renewal, I want to share with you a journey that’s not only close to my heart but also a celebration of resilience, transformation, and the miraculous essence of life. The Sajda drawing series, a collection that has become a testament to the human spirit’s indomitable will to turn adversity into profound beauty. This series is not just art; it’s a dialogue, a personal narrative that weaves together the threads of fear, courage, and triumph.

The birth of the Sajda series emerged from a deeply personal chapter of my life, a time intertwined with the fears of a traumatic birthing experience but also filled with the miraculous joy of birthing my daughter Sajda naturally, after two emergency cesarean sections, Alhamdulillah. Each artwork within the series captures the essence of this profound journey, embodying the spirit of overcoming the insurmountable and celebrating new beginnings.

However, my narrative does not pause here. As a devoted mother of three and an ambitious artist, I am presently navigating the exhilarating challenges of preparing for my first solo museum exhibition in New York. This upcoming body of work demands my everything: my time, passion, and unwavering dedication, symbolizing resilience and the triumphant act of creation itself.

My collection of original paintings and drawings are conduits of a dialogue between my deepest fears and greatest victories. They narrate a story that resonates with a universal message of hope and resilience. These pieces are not merely works of art; they are Eid gifts, Ramadan tokens, and treasures by a black artist that carry the vibrations of a mother’s love and an artist’s soul, making them perfect as a Ramadan gift or an Eid gift.
